Using a 3D Printer in Design and Communication Graphics

The Mayo Branch of the Technoteachers Association will be hosting an evening on the use of a 3D printer in the DCG room. The course will examine how models are prepared for printing, discuss the best approaches when 3D printing, the use of the 3D printer software, 3D printer settings and adjustments, 3D printer maintenance and the printing of exemplar models. Teachers are asked to bring their own laptop on the night with the SolidWorks software installed. Cura is the software used to convert models for printing. If possible - please install this software on laptops.

The course will take place on Wednesday 4th March at 7 p.m. in the Mayo Education Centre.
