Upgrade of DCG computers

Dear Members,

I am delighted to inform you that the Minister has today announced the funding to upgrade to the DCG equipment in Second level schools. The eagerly awaited announcement  is valued at some seven million euro. This funding will provide the availability of new hardware to our schools and students who have enjoyed taking this subject since its introduction. Indeed our students have enriched the environment at third level and onwards into industry with the enhanced skills gained by studying Design and Communication Graphics.
Our members who have embraced this significant change in  education can feel very satisfied with  todays development.
On behalf of our members I wish to express my gratitude to the many individuals, some of whom are our members, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this funding a reality.
Finally I wish to thank  Minister O Sullivan and her Department on this announcement and look forward to working together on the effective implementation of these resources into our classrooms.
